Rain-gutter Regatta (our first ever)

The boys and I got really excited to hear that our ward was going to be participating in their first annual Rain-gutter regatta.  They already love making their pinewood derby cars so we really thought it was going to be just as exciting.  Victor and Tristan got right to work, we found some inexpensive paint and got some cool stickers and they made their creations.  The material they use is a very light and easy to shape and sand down so there was no need of power tools. I think both boys did great.  The siblings were able to participate in a little race on the side after the big races were done.

Victor colored his blue and Tristan did green.

Can you tell he is excited to start the race?

Here he is racing against his best friend Miguel (in the yellow).  We thought it was going to be trouble but they are good friends.  I don't remember who won that particular race.

Tristan got awarded that night with his Bobcat badge, he was working really hard to get it that night.  He is showing sings of a good Boy Scout already.
Here are the boys with their certificates from the race.  Victor wont first place in the entire event, go Victor!!!
