I am also posting a picture of our new pet turtle, Franklin. Tristan helped me clean his little house today and we let him swim in the sink. Afterwards we make sure the sink and our hands are clean to avoid any kind of disease. We love having a little pet that doesn't make any kind of noise and just sits there and looks cute. If it survives for a few months we will invest in an aquarium, but for now it will have to stay in his little cage thing.

Big week for Victor
It has been an exciting week for Victor, first he starts school and last night he lost his first tooth. I just have to write down my thoughts before I forget all about it. Victor is a very interesting kid, if you have been around him for a couple of hours you understand what I mean. I love him to death and think that he is a very bright little guy, his way of thinking is very different from my other kids and has been like that since he was a baby. Loosing your teeth is a very exciting thing and I remember Shayna talking about how her teeth were about to fall, and talking about the Tooth Fairy, so when it finally happened we were jumping up and down and so happy for her. Victor on the other hand...not so happy. We were eating pizza for dinner and he said to me "my mouth hurts when I eat", I was on the phone with my friend Linda and hadn't talk to her in a long time, so I just told him to sit down and eat (this is when I turn into a bad mom for not figuring out what is going on), then I lock my self in the room and suddenly I have Shayna and Victor screaming, Shayna y freaking out and telling me that Victor is bleeding and then I see Victor crying AND bleeding, then in clicks in my head that he is 6, in first grade and take a look at his mouth, there it was his wiggly tooth trying to come off. I actually had to pull it out because it was literally freaking him out. So I cleaned him up and told him how cool it is that his tooth fell off and how the Tooth Fairy is coming that night to take it away and give him money. Can yo imagine the whole thing? It is kind of funny. It was the cutest little tooth and hopefully the next tooth that falls out wont be another scary experience for him. The one thing that I am wondering is why is it that the kids always come to me when I am on the phone instead of going to their dad who is just sitting there? Kids...

Back to School again
So today was the first day of school. My kids woke up so excited about it. We decided we were going to walk to school today to see how the bike situation will work with all the people walking to school. Surprisingly enough we were the only people walking to school, everybody else drove there. We live so close to it that it makes sense to walk or ride the bikes. We had a little caravan on the way there. Shayna pushed Aaron in the stroller and Tristan was riding in the wagon with all the school supplies. After dropping them off in their classrooms I managed to make it home with two kids and a stroller in the wagon. The whole thing only took about 30 minutes.
Tristan and I had a great day doing our little preschool thing at home. Since we don't live in Utah anymore and have no friends yet I am doing this by myself. The funny thing is that Tristan asked in the middle of the class how come his friends were not coming today :( So sad... but he did great and we both survived. Aaron was kind enough to sleep the whole time and I just love spending time with Tristan like that, it makes him feel special. Dan had a good day at work too and I think he will do well there, this is just a temp job with the opportunity to get hired after December, maybe. The company is called Hewit and I think is like health benefits or something like that. Meanwhile we will keep our eyes open for any other opportunity, we are just happy to have something for him to do that will bring money to the household and we feel really blessed about it, the whole thing has been working out so far. We bought our house cash, we have no mortgage and that makes a big difference for us.
On the weekend we went to a flea market and it was kind of fun, we had lunch there, the kids got to color a little figurine and we bought a little turtle. Yes I know our luck with pets is not the greatest but we couldn't resist. His name is Franklin and he just sits there and looks cute. We will see how long it survives :) Any ways I am including a pictures of the craft they did because they all look so into what they are working on even Aaron. They just love crafts!!!

Almost back to normal
Our lives seem to finally be going back to normal now, the kids are going back to school next week, Dan is starting his new job on Monday, we had to take the car to shop today... yes it is going back to normal :) We thought we had to fix the AC in the car, but it turned out to be something more expensive of course, it was the fan, so we had it replaced. We were on our way to the park, but instead we ended up walking all over the place waiting for car to be ready.
We ended up walking to a skating rink in town and Shayna and Victor had the chance to go roller skating for a while. It was the first time for Victor and he liked it, he got better towards the end which is great for him. He usually gives up after the first try :)
After getting the back, we came back home and we were all tired, but Aaron and Dan were the ones that decided to take a little nap on the floor, Aaron fell asleep on Dan's back while he was getting a horse ride and yes he is still sucking on his thumb.
Later today we went to "meet the teacher" night at school. I am very impressed with the school, it is huge and very nice, it seems to be a very good school with great teachers. We have all their school supplies and back packs ready for Monday.
Yesterday we went on a walk around the neighborhood and I took my camera with me since we always find interesting things all over the place. We took pictures of some bugs, flowers and mushrooms. Also there was a crazy dog following us and some other kids. I didn't take a picture of that because I was kind of scare. We made it home safely.

Here we have a picture of a weird looking warm, we saw like 5 of them on our driveway

This is the picture of one of the many mushrooms we saw while on our walk.

Victor is riding his bike!!!
Before we moved to Texas Victor learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels and life was great. Now we are in Texas and we finally decided to get our bikes out and Victor decided he didn't know how to ride it anymore. After the first day of screaming and crying he gave up and Dan and I were very frustrated, but still went on a bike ride. I pulled the little ones, Shayna went on her bike, Dan on his bike and Victor walked by us the entire way to the school and back. I told him that we are going to do that every single day when we go to school so he better learn how to ride his bike again :) I felt bad for him because it was hot but I just wanted him to learn his lesson. The next day we tried again and this time Victor really gave it his all. He was riding his bike up and down the street and he begged us to ride all the way to the park. He did great and I am so proud of him. Afterwards he said he can't believe he didn't do it before. So for like 4 days we have been enjoying our bikes a lot and today Victor and I went on a ride all over our new neighborhood.
Yesterday I got the kids a little kiddie pool to set up in the backyard and they loved it so much they stayed there for hours. Our backyard is infested with fire ants so they haven't been able to go out there and play. I thought the pool would be a great idea because the ants don't like water. Their summer is almost over and soon they will go back to school so I am trying to do as much fun things as I can for them.
I posting pictures of the kids that I want to print and hang on the wall. I want to do a black and white print this time but I suck at taking pictures and I am not use to the new camera yet, let me know if they look good.

YEAH!!! For the USA
I am so happy after watching the USA take the Gold and Silver Medal tonight on Gymnastics. It was so frustrating for a while noticing how the judges were giving China more points that they deserved. At some point they did more mistakes than the US and they totally got a higher score. The cool thing that happened is that one of the judges disagree with the other judges and made them change the scores... anyway I don't know why I get so into this thing but I really love it. Now I can't wait for the synchronized swimming and the rhythmic gymnastics to start. Shayna has been staying up really late with us watching the whole thing and it has been fun.

Finally I am able to blog again. My cool camera died a few weeks ago, right after we got back from Sea World and I had been trying to take pictures but the flash wasn't working. I can still take videos with it but the pictures come out all blurry. So about 2 days ago Dan said I could go buy another camera. I found one at Sam's club and it's kind of cool. I love the fact that is very slim and super small. So I have been trying to get used to it. I still don't like how the pictures come out. Anyways we have been getting used to living in our new home, we love it but are still not quite settled in yet. There are boxes in my room, in the study and we need to figure out how to set up my sewing/craft station. The kids rooms are completely done now and the kitchen, also the laundry room and we have been hanging some things on the wall.
We are trying to sell the extra living room set still and we have no dining table, but we decided to wait on that. The living room needs a new entertainment center and that is why we still have boxes with stuff in it. The garage has been kind of organized and our master closet has all the clothes we own in it. It is so cool to go in there and to be able to see everything on the hangers.
Dan is probably going to start a new job by the end of the month, all we are waiting on is the background check to come back. I think he is very excited to go back to work and get away from his grouchy wife. It has been great to have him with us but I think he needs a break (I don't :)Yesterday the Olympics started and that is always so exciting for me, I just love the Olympics and my favorite thing is to watch the
Opening Ceremony and to see the Guatemala Flag, even if they don't win anything is just cool to see it there and to know that we are part of the whole thing.
So to try to entertain the kids I found some cool ideas for the kids yesterday and we had our very own Kids Olympics at home. We had a torch that they passed around running from the backyard and around the living room and Tristan was the lucky one that got to light the torch (a lamp shade upside down with a bright orange blanket in it). We had a few games and they all got to participate in them, even Aaron. Aaron is just so fun to watch trying to be like his older siblings. He ran with them and did everything they did. I think it was so much fun and the kids enjoyed it a lot.
Later the kids wanted to go outside and play with the sprinklers and get wet. We got to meed our neighbors next door and that was nice, they are brand new too.
A couple of days ago we went to our neighborhood park with the kids and that is something I can see myself doing a lot with Tristan and Aaron in the future. On the way there Shayna found a little frog. She loves frogs and keeps catching them in the front yard and backyard. It is kind of cool because she wanted to have a pet frog but now that we see 5 or 6 everyday, she doesn't need to get one in the house.
The other fun thing we did for Shayna was her perm. She misses having curly hair and one day I decided to go ahead and perm her hair. I was a little nervous but it turned out OK. She really loves it and is very happy to have the curls back.
So that's some of the things we have done lately.
