Life...

So I haven't done anything exciting with my family this past week but everybody is OK, nobody sick for the first time in weeks!!! The weather has been so nice and I wish the kids were not going to school so they could play outside, by the time they come back from school it starts to get too cold for us. I did do something cool this weekend. Dan took us to some Latino Mall in Salt lake, don't know exactly where it is. It was fun for me because it reminds me of this place back home where I use to go shopping. Shayna doesn't really like that Mall, every time we go there she says something funny about it. Then we went to an outlet mall where I was able to get this cute little things for their summer shoes, they were only on dollar and there were three in a pack. I think it was a good deal since I know you can buy them for like 3 or 4 dollars each. When we came back Dan said Shayna and I could go and do something fun like going to the saloon and have our hair done or nails. I decided to go to the aquatic center and go swim for a while. It turned out to be so much fun. Next time I want the whole family to come. The kid section is really nice.
For family home evening we watched Star Wars and the kids really enjoyed it. So it hasn't been so much fun around here but we try. Between work and school we have so little time to spend with Dan and tomorrow he goes to bell choir practice so we wont be seeing him at all. I will have to plan something cool to do with the kids.

Here are a couple of pictures, one is of Tristan's creative work. He was told to put the shoes away in the closet and he thought that was boring. The other picture is of Shayna's nice lunch she prepared for us. Victor and I were playing Lego Star Wars on the XBOX and she decided to go upstairs and fix lunch for everybody. It was really nice. Also on Saturday we had breakfast at Burger King and We took some pictures of the kids.

I almost forgot, our trip to Texas is booked and we can't wait to go down there to visit Dan's brother and his family. They bought a house about a month ago and invited us to come visit them. We took them up on their offer and we are now just counting down the days. It is going to be so much fun. We are planning on going to the Nasa Museum, the beach, the zoo, and maybe this cool Aquarium they have down in Houston. Any ideas anybody? What else is there?

On the road to the Olimpics

I posted this on the Brown Bytes blog (Dan's family blog). But I wanted to post it here too. Shayna was dancing and having so much fun yesterday with this. I told her that people do this at the Olympics and she wouldn't believe me until I showed her the videos.

PRESCHOOL

I decided to post some pictures from our preschool today. They kids seemed to have fun and were very interested in learning about colors and how to mix them. They know so much already. I think the best part for me was to see them eat their snack, they had blue berry waffles, blue peeps, lego fruit snacks, blue milk and they drank it with the new Fruit Loops straws, have you tried them before they are delicious. Anyway, have fun watching your kids.

More preschool fun

Preschool today

I thought you might want to see the kids dancing around during our blue day. I think they had lots of fun eating blue things and learning about colors.

La travesura de Tristan

Tristan found some scissors yesterday and decided to have fun doing some creative cutting. He cut his pants and shirt (he was wearing them) and he found Some cute shoes that I bought for Shayna, they were made out of some mesh material or something so they were easy to cut. Needles to say I was very mad at him for what he did. He was sent to his room after explaining to him that scissors are dangerous and he should not cut anything with them. I decided to take a picture of this stuff so that I could post it. The funny thing is that I can't stay mad at him for that long, after a while I gave up and hugged him and talked to him about the little problem again. I think he understood now.
We had a good Valentines day and the best part was that Dan didn't go to work he had the day off. He got me a card, chocolates, a teddy bear and pink roses ( I hate red roses). He made us lunch and watched the kids while I took a nap. He took the kids to school and he picked them up. Went to Jiffy Lube and did some shopping. He was great, I wish everyday was Valentines day.
We watched a movie and then a TV show about vampires and then played with the kids some video games, it was so much fun.
During the night things changed for me, Aaron was really sick throwing up. I usually don't turn the baby monitor on anymore, but for some reason I did last night and around 1 am he woke up and started to cough, then he was crying and I went to see him, he had throw up all over him and his bed. He kept throwing up all night and he didn't look alive at all. We stayed up almost all night. I think we feel asleep around 4 am and then woke up at 7. I gave him some pedialite and now he seems so much better. We need a long nap today :)
